Hotel So Marais - Paris

It became my favourite place to stay in Paris. The staff was very helpful, really made a difference to my christmas. I enjoyed the room, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I had a view of inner courtyard from my window. The good and excellent location was minutes from Marian Goodman Gallery. A market and boutiques were right next door.

Bright hotel, unbeatable location and the rooms are newly decorated. The staff is very helpful and affable, as well as owner;)))

Request a room away from the main street for quieter sleeping. The surrounding area has lovely cafés to explore.

What they don't tell you

Expect a quirky experience with no reception and steep stairs, leaving you breathless (literally!). Rooms are tiny yet clean, emphasizing location over space. Convenient storage and coffee essentials help ease the wait before check-in or post-checkout. Great for budget travelers but not for those seeking luxury!

Would recommend for a date night

Quiet location, modern room, with excellent cleanliness and plenty of hot water made our stay enjoyable, and being just 0.3 km from the metro station made exploring the area easy.

The room was very clean. The modern interior made it inviting. The bathroom had a door. The bed was comfortable.

We had a great time! The suite was perfect for our family with plenty of space and clean, welcoming aesthetics. Loved the coffee in the basement and the unique map wallpaper!

I loved the location of So Marais. It's on a quiet street yet just a short walk to vibrant restaurants. The room was clean and modern, a nice retreat after a long day. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the hot drinks and snacks available downstairs. The lack of staff was noticeable. No one was around to greet or assist. The spiral staircase to the upper floor was very tight and a struggle with luggage. The toilet had no door for privacy, a bit awkward. It had its charm, but the small issues held it back from being perfect.

The location is fantastic. The facilities seemed new and well-maintained, which was a plus. It was challenging to navigate the tiny room and the bathroom layout was not ideal for privacy. I appreciated having plenty of towels available during my stay.

Quiet atmosphere ensured restful nights, and I enjoyed the delicious biscuits available. Great food options nearby, especially the restaurant right outside.

No staff on-site creates a feeling more akin to an AirBnB than a traditional hotel, which might throw off some travelers expecting standard services. Not ideal if you've packed for an adventure. The lack of privacy with the WC located right next to the bed leaves something to be desired.

excellent spot for cultural exploration and dining delights

I loved being just a short walk from the Pompidou Centre and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Marais district filled with cafés and restaurants. The hotel was exceedingly clean and had everything I needed for my stay as a solo traveler, although it could be tricky navigating the small staircase with larger luggage.

Staying at So Marais was a delight! The charming location fit perfectly for exploring, with a lovely atmosphere throughout. The room offered excellent design and comfort, although navigating the narrow stairs to the 5th floor was a workout. Can't wait to return!
